LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are hooking up with CBS Television Studios.
The pair, whose credits include "Fringe," "Hawaii Five-0" and Fox's upcoming "Sleepy Hollow," have entered a three-year overall deal with CBS Television Studios, the company said Wednesday.
Under the agreement, the pair - as well as Heather Kadin, the president of television for Kurtzman and Orci's K/O Paper Products, and K/O ,manager of television development Aaron Baiers - will develop television projects for CBS Television Studios.
Kurtzman and Orci developed the revamp of "Hawaii Five-0," which is going into its fourth season, for the network.
"Our collaboration with CBS on 'Hawaii Five-0' has been one of the most fulfilling of our career," Kurtzman and Orci said. "Everyone there brings their dedication and passion to work every day, which makes it a wonderful place for creativity to thrive. We're thrilled to continue our long-standing partnership for many more years to come."
CBS Television Studios president David Stapf added that Kurtzman and Orci "are two of the most coveted writers/producers in features and television for an important reason. They have a unique perspective on what it takes to develop a modern day blockbuster. On the television front, we have been fortunate to work with them closely on 'Hawaii Five-0' and know first-hand the creativity and energy they bring to a project, as well as their instinct for making something into a big event."
In addition to their TV endeavors, Kurtzman and Orci boast an impressive big-screen history that includes this year's sci-fi hit "Star Trek: Into Darkness," "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and "Transformers," among numerous others.
