UI Health Care Information Systems is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to provide specialized human resource and administrative support for recruitment, compliance monitoring, compensation analysis, salary budgeting, and other HR processes. Key duties include:
- Develops recruitment strategies and manages recruitments and hiring processes.
- Manages recruitment advertising including professional and social media sources.
- Serves as an administrator for job searches and participates in on-site interviews. Provides guidance pertaining to interview questions to assure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Guides hiring managers in preparing justification materials and search summaries. Prepares offer letters and initiates the workflow transaction for review by OEOD.
- Collaborates with hiring manager to conduct reference checks.
- Maintains various hiring-related metrics and prepares periodic and/or special reports.
- Manages departmental compliance monitoring policies and procedures. Analyzes and reports statistics.
- Interprets data and advises managers and employees on HR processes including compliances, FMLA, benefits, employee relations, time and attendance.
- Serves as liaison among HCIS managers and staff and UI Health Care and University HR resources
- Initiates, reviews, and edits personnel and financial transactions.
- Participates in the preparation of salary budgets.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Reasonable (1-3 years) general human resource management experience.
- Experience with staff recruitment and hiring activities.
- Experience monitoring, analyzing and summarizing business and personnel data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment.
- Extensive knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting human resources.
- Knowledge of University of Iowa business policies, procedures, systems and regulations.
- HR experience in an IT environment.
- PHR certification.
