Monday the 11th:

?The VSK (Very Special Keg) tonight at The Blind Tiger in the Village is the BrewDog Paradox Isle of Arran, an Imperial Stout aged in Isle of Arran whisky casks, and will be tapped at 5 pm.


??The Third Annual Good Beer Seal Awards Party is tonight at Jimmy?s No 43 in the East Village. To celebrate the induction of several new local bars in to the GBS, local beers from Sixpoint, Brooklyn Brewery, Barrier, Bronx Ale House and Kelso will be available for purchase and BBQ from Waterfront Ale House, cheese from Jasper Hill, and chocolates curated by The Chocolate Life?s Clay Gordon will be on offer from 6 to 9 pm.


Tuesday the 12th:

?The free Tuesday Night Tasting at Bierkraft in Park Slope features 5 Trappist beers and begins promptly at 7 pm.


?The $10 Tuesday Night Tasting at Jimmy?s No 43 in the East Village features beers from English Session Ales and starts at 7:30 pm. List coming soon?

Wednesday the 13th:

?Fourth Avenue Pub in Park Slope is celebrating the release of the Lynchpin IPA, a collaborative brew from Founders and Green Flash, tonight with Look! Up In the Sky! It?s A Green Flash! It?s Founders! It?s?Linchpin White IPA!!!! A variety of beers from the two breweries will join the Lynchpin on draft beginning at 7 pm:

?George Keeley on the Upper West Side has a Duvel Artist Glass giveaway today from at 6 pm. Buy a bottle Duvel, get an artist glass free, while supplies last.


??dbgb in NoHo has an Evil Twin Whole Hog Feast tonight at 7 pm. This menu will be served family style:

House-made Charcuterie Selection

Whole Pennsylvania Green Village Farms slow roasted suckling pig stuffed with tomato, fennel, Ni?oise olives, and pork loin

Chef Olivier?s zucchini flan, grilled asparagus, spring peas, and fingerling potatoes and ramps

Flaming vanilla, pistachio, raspberry baked Alaska

Several beers will be poured alongside the meal, including Disco Beer Red Cap, a strong ale aged in wine barrels; P.H.A.T., a roasted malt and coffee scented Baltic porter; and Ron and the Beast Ryan, a light, citrusy easy-to-drink saison. $80 per person, all inclusive ? tickets available here.


?The $10 Tasting at Idle Hands in the East Village tonight features Left Hand and a bourbon TBA. $10 at the bar between 7 & 10 pm gets you: a full pour each of Smoke Jumper and 400 lb Monkey, tastes of the Stranger, Milk Stout & Good JuJu Ginger, a taste of bourbon, and an order of Tater Tots from That Burger with specially made dipping sauce made with a beer from Left Hand.


??The Malted Barley Appreciation Society meets tonight at 7:30 pm at Mugs Alehouse in Williamsburg. This month?s speaker is Rich Buceta of Singlecut Beersmiths. The meetings are free and open to the public. Homebrewers are invited to bring their own brews to share as well.


?Taproom 307 has a Great Divide night ? no list but rare brews have been promised. Taps should be up by 6 pm.


Thursday the 14th:

?The Thursday Tap at Jimmy?s No 43 will go on at 5 pm. Tonight?s beer is the De Koninck Triple D?Anvers, an 8% Belgian triple.


?Bierkraft in Park Slope has a Kelso tap takeover event tonight. Beers start pouring at 7 pm, with this tentative line-up:

?The Gutter in Williamsburg is having a Captain Lawrence tap takeover beginning at 7 pm. Expect a special small batch beer from the brewery as well as an appearance by Stillwater.


?The New York Beer Company in Hell?s Kitchen has a Brooklyn Brewery 25th Anniversary ?80s Celebration tonight. Summer Ale open bar from 6-7 pm, raffles, giveaways and ?80s tunes.


Friday the 15th:

?The Whole Foods Bowery Beer Room has a Cisco Brewers tasting tonight from 5 to 8 pm. Beers being sampled:

Saturday the 16th:

?Brooklyn Waterfront Beer Festival is today. This beer festival in Williamsburg will be held in two sessions with Connoisseur, VIP and General Session options for each. Advance tickets are $125 for Connoisseur, $75 for VIP and $55 for General Admission. I?ll be leading panels on Urban Homebrewing and Women in Beer and there will be live music and local food for purchase. The brewery & beer list can be found here.


?Sycamore in Ditmas Park is having a Kelso Brewery & BBQ today. Food will be served from noon to 6 pm and $5 draft beers will be served all day long.

??Kings of Funk at Alewife Queens in Long Island City on June 21st beginning at 5 pm. Co-presented by Get Real, this is an evening with 5 very special brewers: Jean from Cantillon, Yvan from De La Senne, Mark from Bink/Kerkom, Jean from Moeder Lambic and Jeppe from Evil Twin. Three ticket options: $75 for open bar, $100 for beer dinner and $175 for sitting at head table and enjoying some rare beers during the beer dinner with the brewers. A partial beer list:

?The Festival in Worcester, Massachusetts. This is a big one ? the first US beer fest put on by the Shelton Brothers & 12% Imports. Three sessions on Saturday & Sunday. Tickets are $60 a session or $160 for all three. Get Real has chartered a bus from NYC to the Festival on Saturday ? $110 for early bird (which ends today), $175 after, which includes bus trip there & back, food & craft beer on the bus and a ticket to The Festival. Bus trip tickets are available here and The Festival tickets are available here.


??Cook Out NYC on July 7th & 8th. Sixpoint beers, local bites and live music from 11:30 to 4 each day on Governor?s Island. Tickets available here.
